Everything was very hot: huge catfish filet, scrambled eggs, home-made biscuit, and bowl of grits. Our server was very fast and we got our water immediately and our food in 10 minutes. He was seated by the time we were halfway through our meals, fortunately.

full and standing room only for those waiting. I have never seen them this busy before: all booths and tables were. Thumbs Up Diner offers a funky mix of Thumbs Up Breakfast Originals as well as classic and build your own breakfast options. If you should happen to forget, they do have an ATM on site. They are cash only so remember to grab some cash before you come. This location consistently gives me the same high quality experience every time I come. I have been to other Thumbs Up restaurants around the city and they didn’t measure up to the Edgewood location. The servers are knowledgeable and highly experienced, some of them I’ve seen since the very first time I came! I cannot day enough good things about this place, and I am extremely biased about this specific location. I think its great that other guys have other brands to choose from. I am a JL collector and just do not do other brands (ok, maybe a few greenlights). The food is amazing and the restaurant has that neighborhood cafe feel. For me, having JL back on board makes alot of difference.
As I’m sitting here waiting for my food, it literally just dawned on me that I have never written a review! This is hands down my favorite breakfast/brunch spot in Atlanta! Every time I have a friend or family member visit I always bring them here as part of their Atlanta experience. I have been coming to Thumbs Up for the last 11 years I’ve lived in Atlanta.
